Biggest pandal at youth festivals
The huge pandal that has come up at the Marine Drive— the main venue of the 46th State School Kalotsavam— will perhaps be the biggest pandal in the history of youth festivals.
It covers an area of 45,000 square feet.
Fourteen green rooms have been arranged behind the stage, seven each for boys and girls.
Toilet facilities have also been arranged near the stage.
This year, the pandal measures 300x150 feet while the pandal last year measured 250 x 120.
The pandal here is decorated with the portraits of 46 leading personalities from social, cultural, literary and political fields, including that of the late Kathakali music maestro Kalamandalam Hyderali and the former Union Minister P.M. Sayeed.
Both the main venue and the organising committee office at St. Albert's HSS have been insured.
